Back in the early 1970's I discovered the pleasure of writing poetry. A sense of humour that must have stemmed from the Goons and other British sources mixed happily with the use of words and rhyme from Victorian writers such as Lear, Carroll and the legion of anonymous poets who gave us throw-away verses that we learnt as kids.
Here are some of my own offerings - mostly serious. I will prepare another page of humorous verse in the near future.
Astral projection
Autumn gold
Listen to the children
The dinner party
After the hanging
The island in the lake
Song for the newborn
I, the teacher
The old tiger
A rhyme for "U"
